Deputy Joint Operations Commander Directs Security Preparations for Upcoming Parliamentary Elections


Baghdad: Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Head of the Supreme Security Committee for the Elections, First Lieutenant General Qais Al-Mohammadawi, directed security forces to take the necessary measures to secure the upcoming parliamentary elections. This directive was issued during an extensive conference chaired by Al-Mohammadawi on Thursday at the Baghdad Operations Command headquarters. The meeting was attended by military and security leaders, as well as representatives from the Independent High Electoral Commission, focusing on reviewing preparations in Baghdad and Diyala provinces.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Mohammadawi emphasized the importance of unified efforts and the creation of a secure environment to facilitate a successful electoral process. He urged continuous field follow-up and the flexible implementation of security plans. He also affirmed the neutrality of the security forces, ensuring their equal stance toward all parties involved in the elections.



The conference concluded with a strong commitment from all parties involved to ensure the elections proceed successfully, symbolizing Iraq’s ongoing progress toward stability and development.
