Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin Atroushi met with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Iraq, Mahmoud bin Mahna Al-Kharousi, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations in a manner that serves the common interests of the two brotherly countries. Atroushi and the Omani ambassador stressed the importance of activating the work of parliamentary friendship committees and expanding cooperation in various fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Deputy Speaker’s media office stated that Atroushi received the Omani Ambassador at his office in Baghdad on Wednesday. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of advancing bilateral coordination and action mechanisms to broader horizons.

They also reviewed the latest political developments and the most prominent current events on the regional and international scenes. Emphasis was placed on the importance of adopting diplomatic dialogue and intensifying joint efforts to overcome challenges through wise visions and political and economic integration, which contributes to consolidating the foundations of security and stability in the region.
