Baghdad: First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi affirmed that "Parliament is committed to fulfilling its legislative and oversight responsibilities with high efficiency."

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Dulaimi's office indicated that he received a delegation from the Badr parliamentary bloc, headed by MP Humam al-Tamimi. This meeting was part of efforts to enhance coordination between the Parliament's presidency and parliamentary blocs, aligning with the current phase's requirements. The aim is to bolster efforts to advance the legislative and oversight process to serve the public interest and meet citizens' needs and aspirations.

Al-Dulaimi emphasized that Parliament is focused on supporting reform initiatives by prioritizing laws that impact citizens' daily lives. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the oversight role and developing monitoring tools to ensure efficient government performance and proper implementation of legislation.

He further stressed the significance of continued coordination between the Parliament's presidency and parliamentary blocs, aiming to enhance legislative stability and elevate oversight performance.
