Sinjar: The Director of the Nineveh Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate, Ruwaid, announced tonight that the inspectorate’s teams are actively conducting monitoring visits to archaeological sites in the Sinjar district. This initiative is part of a comprehensive program aimed at assessing the current condition of these sites and safeguarding them from potential violations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ruwaid stated that the teams have visited several significant historical sites, including Tell Fahd, the Kiri Rash site, the Roman wall, and the old city. During these visits, the condition of each site was evaluated, and observations by the specialized teams were meticulously documented.

Furthermore, Ruwaid emphasized that the inspectorate is collaborating with relevant authorities to implement necessary actions whenever a violation is identified. The program is designed to intensify monitoring efforts, thus ensuring the protection and preservation of the archaeological heritage and historical sites throughout the province.
