Diwaniyah: The Diwaniyah Provincial Council has decided to accept the appeal of Ahmed Kharbat, the Director General of Education in Diwaniyah, after the council had previously decided to dismiss him from his position.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Diwaniyah Provincial Council, Mohammed Al-Ghanimi, stated, “During its ninety-ninth session, the Provincial Council accepted the appeal submitted by the Director General of Education in Diwaniyah and rescinded its previous decision to dismiss him.” The decision to overturn the dismissal was made by a vote of nine members of the council.

The Provincial Council had initially voted last month to dismiss Ahmed Kharbat from his role. The reversal of this decision signifies a change in the council’s stance following the appeal process.
