Baquba The Diyala Police Command announced that a lightning strike was carried out in the vicinity of an agricultural village, northeast of Baquba.

The command stated in a statement, a copy of which NINA received, that “joint security units, under the supervision of the Diyala Police Commander, Major General Alaa Gharib, carried out a lightning security operation in the vicinity of / 11 villages / within the Diyala River basin in the western part, within the axes of the Abu Saida-Abbara sub-district.

The leadership added that the operation is taking place in coordination with intelligence cells, for which objectives have been set, the most important of which are combing the banks of the Diyala River and the surrounding orchards, securing agricultural roads and ending any presence of ISIS cells in the region.
