Diyala: The Diyala Provincial Council convened an expanded meeting to host Rasha Hamed Khazal, the Director of Baquba Municipality, focusing on the latest developments in municipal work and the service plan for the latter half of 2026.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Council Chairman Omar al-Karawi highlighted that the meeting aimed to continuously monitor and assess future plans, especially considering recent changes in the department’s operations. He stressed the importance of considering feedback from council members to enhance performance.

During the meeting, the focus was on supporting and developing the service institution. The council leadership and members expressed their commitment to ensuring the municipality’s success, aiming to avoid past failures by creating a clear roadmap to improve service quality. They also emphasized the development of direct communication mechanisms to address residents’ complaints and appeals promptly.

Al-Karawi explained that hosting the mayor of Baquba was part of an oversight and coordination effort to align the council’s vision with achieving joint integration for the public interest.
