Baghdad: The Governor of Diyala, Adnan al-Shammari, conducted an inspection of the ongoing work at the reception area for pilgrims commemorating the Arba’een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in the Jadida al-Shatt district, located southwest of Baquba. His visit was aimed at reviewing the preparations for accommodating the influx of pilgrims arriving for the Arba’een pilgrimage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Shammari assessed the progress of rehabilitation and service works, instructing the relevant authorities to intensify their efforts and expedite the work. This directive is to ensure that all necessary requirements are met according to technical specifications and within the specified deadlines, thereby providing a suitable service environment for the esteemed pilgrims.

Al-Shammari reiterated the commitment of the local government to focus on preparing all essential service and logistical requirements. This commitment is in coordination with supporting departments and security agencies to ensure smooth traffic flow and the provision of optimal services during the Arba’een pilgrimage season.
