Baghdad: The governor of Diyala, Adnan al-Shammari, convened a crucial meeting at the al-Mundhiriya border crossing with representatives from security agencies, service departments, and supporting entities to streamline the entry of Arba’een pilgrims.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting’s focus was on reviewing plans and procedures for the upcoming Arba’een pilgrimage season. Discussions centered around mechanisms for joint coordination among all relevant parties to facilitate the entry of pilgrims and ensure they receive essential services. The governor emphasized the importance of collective efforts and teamwork, following the local government’s directives, to successfully implement the Arba’een pilgrimage plan.

Governor al-Shammari highlighted the necessity of providing all logistical and service requirements to project a civilized image of Diyala in welcoming pilgrims for this significant religious occasion. In a separate move, the governor inspected the al-Mundhiriya border crossing to evaluate the ongoing preparations for the arrival of pilgrims for the Arba’een of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). He assessed the readiness of the service, security, and health departments to ensure the smooth passage and provision of optimal services for the pilgrims.
