Diyala: The governor of Diyala, Adnan al-Shammari, has underscored the importance of fortifying the bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran to bolster regional stability and development.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Shammari made these remarks during an official ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. He highlighted the significance of enhancing cooperative frameworks across various sectors, which would serve the mutual interests of both nations. The governor expressed that Diyala’s geographical and historical ties position it as a key player in fostering beneficial relationships with official bodies, thereby boosting investment opportunities, economic exchange, and service coordination between Iraq and Iran.
