Diyala operations for the Popular Mobilization launches a five-axis inspection operation in the Hamrin mountain ranges / expanded

Baquba The Diyala Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization launched today, Wednesday, a five-axis search operation to pursue ISIS remnants in the Hamrin mountain ranges, indicating that the operation came based on accurate intelligence information to pursue ISIS remnants and destroy its hideouts.

The Commander of Diyala Operations for the Popular Mobilization, Talib al-Moussawi, said, according to a statement by the Popular Mobilization Authority, that “the Popular Mobilization brigades began at six o’clock in the morning a wide security operation with five axes to pursue ISIS remnants in the Hamrin mountain ranges, northeast of Al-Adhaim district / Khalis district in Diyala,” noting that the operation was launched with the participation of the brigades (1-4-23-24-110- and Call of Diyala Brigade , with the support of the types and services of the Diyala operations sector for the Popular Mobilization, as well as with the participation of the commission’s aides (intelligence, logistical support, military engineering, missile battalion and anti-explosives for the Popular Mobilization).

Al-Moussawi added that “the operation was launched based on intelligence information and accurate follow-up on the movements of terrorists after the massacre of Al-Rashad district in the Muqdadiyah district,” indicating that “the operation continues to advance with good momentum and with foot pieces, given the complex geographical terrain of the area and the rugged mountainous terrain, with the support of the army and drones of the Popular Mobilization.”
