Diyala: The Diyala Police Command announced the arrest of a suspect sentenced in absentia to death by hanging.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a statement that joint squads from the Diyala Police, through security operations to search and investigate a wanted person sentenced in absentia to death by hanging, in accordance with the provisions of Article (406) of the Penal Code, were able to arrest him.

The Command added that the necessary legal measures were taken against him and he was handed over to the requesting party.
