Baghdad: The Diyala Police Command announced the arrest of two suspects wanted under Article (4) of the Counter-Terrorism Law in the Al-Adhaim district, as part of ongoing security efforts to track down wanted individuals and enhance security and stability throughout the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated in a press release that the operation was conducted under the supervision of the Diyala Police Chief, Major General Muhammad Kadhim Atiya, and carried out by a joint security force comprised of the Al-Adhaim Police Department, National Security detachments, Emergency Patrol detachments, and a force from the Iraqi Army. Following intelligence efforts and meticulous field surveillance, the operation resulted in the arrest of the suspects, the initiation of necessary legal procedures against them, and their referral to the competent authorities.

The Police Command affirmed the continuation of its security and intelligence operations to pursue all those wanted by the judiciary and its commitment to showing no leniency towards anyone who attempts to undermine the security of the province, until they are apprehended and brought to justice to receive their due punishment according to the law.
