Diyala: The Diyala Governorate Police Command has denied reports circulating on some social media pages and websites regarding an alleged armed attack in Baquba that purportedly resulted in one death and one injury.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command issued a statement confirming that the news was misleading and baseless. They urged citizens and media outlets to exercise caution and accuracy, advising against the circulation or publication of unreliable news that could cause unnecessary anxiety and disrupt the stable security situation in the governorate.

The statement emphasized the importance of basing security information on official sources. It also noted that the relevant authorities reserve the right to take legal action against individuals or entities that deliberately publish false and misleading news.
