Diyala: Detachments from the Checkpoints and External Roads Affairs Department of the Diyala Police Command seized 11 trucks loaded with illegal substances.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Haitham Al-Shammari, Director of Media for the Diyala Police, stated that the Checkpoints Affairs Department intercepted nine trucks loaded with agricultural crops on the road connecting Diyala and Kirkuk. These trucks were allegedly prepared for smuggling with forged customs papers.

He further mentioned that security forces also apprehended a truck carrying alcoholic beverages and another transporting used iron, both of which were intended for smuggling north of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.
