Diyala University Secures Fourth Place in National Student Activities Evaluation


Diyala: Diyala University achieved fourth place among Iraqi public and private universities participating in the annual evaluation of student activities, a new achievement reflecting the university’s excellence and the active participation of its students in various fields of university activity.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, this achievement is the fruit of the continuous efforts exerted by the university’s Student Activities Department, with the support of the university’s administration, as well as the participation of university students in sports, cultural, and artistic events, and their results in various university championships, competitions, and forums.



On this occasion, the President of Diyala University, Tahseen Hussein Mark, affirmed that student activities represent an essential part of the university’s mission in building the student’s well-rounded personality, refining their talents, and developing their abilities, alongside academic achievement. He pointed out that the university administration is committed to supporting students, faculty, and staff participating in activities, and to providing the necessary environment and resources to achieve more rankings and accomplishments that enhance Diyala University’s presence at the national level.



For his part, the Director of Student Activities, Samir Sabri Hassan, explained that the university’s ranking fourth among approximately 70 public and private universities is the fruit of the department’s continuous efforts. He noted that the support from the university administration and the efforts of its staff played a role in providing the necessary resources and achieving this accomplishment.



This achievement aligns with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (quality education), by providing a comprehensive university environment that not only focuses on academic education but also supports talents, skills, and sports, cultural, and artistic activities, thus contributing to preparing students with the scientific and personal capabilities necessary for participation in society.
