According to Iraqi News Agency, DMI said, “Military detachments from the Directorate apprehended 23 individuals wanted on various charges. These arrests took place in the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, Kirkuk, Maysan, and Diyala.”

“Coordinated operations were carried out by detachments from the legal and coordination sections of Army Divisions (1, 7, 8, 14, 16, 17, 22, and 23). These actions relied on accurate intelligence and field surveillance to locate the wanted individuals and apprehend them,” the statement added.

“The wanted individuals have been handed over to the judiciary for legal proceedings in accordance with the specific charges for which they were detained,” DMI stated.
