Drone Crash Near Bai Hassan Oil Field Sparks Security Concerns


Kirkuk: A drone loaded with explosives crashed into agricultural land near the Bai Hassan oil field in Kirkuk, raising security concerns in the region. The incident occurred in the Dibis district, with local security and government sources confirming that the drone landed on farmland owned by Khamis al-Ta’i. Fortunately, the crash did not result in any significant damage.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the drone crash site was located behind the farmer’s house, in close proximity to the Bai Hassan oil field. This oil field is recognized as the largest operated by the North Oil Company and falls within the operational jurisdiction of the Iraqi Army’s 8th Division. The presence of an explosive-laden drone in such a strategic area has prompted a heightened alert among security forces, though no immediate threats have been reported following the incident.
