Baghdad: A drone was shot down near Baghdad International Airport. Air defenses successfully intercepted the drone in the vicinity of the airport.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source reported that the US air defense system took action early Monday morning to shoot down the drone. The unmanned aerial vehicle was attempting to target the logistics support camp for US forces stationed at the airport. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported from this incident.
