JOUNIEH: A drone strike in Jounieh has resulted in the deaths of a man and his wife after they attempted to flee into a nearby forest. The incident occurred following a raid on their vehicle in Sahel Alma, leaving two others injured in the vicinity and causing extensive property damage. According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the drone continued to pursue the couple into the forest adjacent to the Jounieh highway, where they were ultimately killed. The explosion from the raid also left two bystanders injured, who were subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. The impact of the explosion caused significant damage in the surrounding area, shattering windows of several buildings and shops on both the eastern and western lanes near the site of the incident.
