Drug Dealer Apprehended in Baghdad Amid Security Operations


Baghdad: The Ministry of Defense announced the arrest of a drug dealer in the capital, Baghdad.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was carried out by detachments from the Najaf Intelligence and Security Directorate, which is part of the General Directorate of Intelligence and Security. The operation was conducted in coordination with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in Najaf Governorate.



The authorities seized 1 kilogram of crystal methamphetamine during the arrest. The suspect has been referred to the competent authorities under Article 28/First, Drugs, to face legal proceedings. This operation represents a significant effort in the ongoing battle against organized crime and drug trafficking in the region.
