Basra: A joint security force in Basra arrested a drug dealer in the Zubair district.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Governorate Police Command stated in a press release that approximately 250 grams of crystal methamphetamine were seized at the suspect’s home. Alongside the drugs, authorities discovered an electronic scale, drug paraphernalia, and identification documents belonging to several individuals.

The statement added that after completing the necessary legal procedures, the house was demolished as it was being used as a den for drug dealing and use. This action is part of the deterrent security measures against criminal hideouts. The suspect was transferred to the Zubair Anti-Crime Division, where he confessed during interrogation to drug dealing and committing several thefts.
