Drug Dealer Killed, Another Injured in Armed Clash with Security Forces in Basra

Basra: A drug dealer was killed and another one was injured in an armed clash with security forces in Basra.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Head of the Security Committee in the Basra Provincial Council, Aqeel Talib Al-Furaiji, stated in a press release that a security force conducted a raid following accurate intelligence information regarding the location of the accused individuals.

Al-Furaiji elaborated that during the operation, an armed confrontation took place between the accused drug dealers and the security forces. This clash resulted in the death of one of the dealers and left another injured.

He also noted that the authorities seized quantities of narcotics at the location of the incident. The operation highlights the ongoing efforts by security forces to combat drug-related activities in the region.
