Drug Den Busted in Basra’s Doctors’ Quarter

Basra: Security forces in Basra busted a drug den in the Doctors’ Quarter.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a security source stated: “Based on precise intelligence indicating the presence of illegal activity involving the trade of ‘Nidol’ narcotic pills imported from a neighboring country, and after obtaining the necessary judicial approvals, a specialized team was formed. They raided the suspected house and arrested the homeowner, her daughter, and her grandson.”

The source added: “The security forces seized a large quantity of narcotic pills from the suspects, amounting to 32,750 pills, equivalent to approximately 13.5 kilograms, according to the measurements adopted by the Forensic Medicine Department.”
