Drug trafficking networks arrested between Diyala and Kurdistan

Baquba Joint security forces carried out tracking operations for drug traffickers on the border between Diyala and Kurdistan.

A local source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) today that joint security forces carried out qualitative operations targeting drug dealers in the areas on the border separating Diyala and Kurdistan, which resulted in the arrest of a number of drug traffickers.

He added that the joint security coordination played a major role in overthrowing drug trafficking networks. He stressed that most of the qualitative operations took place in the northeastern sector of the governorate, in which drug trafficking networks are active.
