Sharm El-Sheikh: An earthquake measuring 4.19 degrees on the Richter scale was recorded 131 kilometers north of Sharm El-Sheikh. The Egyptian National Seismic Monitoring Network’s stations detected the quake today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the earthquake’s coordinates were at a latitude of 28.97 degrees north and a longitude of 34.80 degrees east, with a depth of 19.33 kilometers. There have been no reports of casualties or damage to property.

In a related development, the Jordanian Seismic Observatory reported an earthquake of 4 degrees on the Richter scale in the Gulf of Aqaba. The observatory’s Director, Ghassan Sweidan, stated that the quake occurred 60 kilometers south of Aqaba at a depth of 19 kilometers and was felt in the region.
