Baghdad: An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in the southeast of Mandali district in Diyala Governorate, as announced by the Ministry of Transport today.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated that their seismic observatories recorded the earthquake after midnight on Saturday. The tremor was experienced by citizens residing near the area of occurrence.
The ministry urged residents to avoid false news and rumors and to adhere to official seismic guidelines and commandments.
