Baiji: An earthquake measuring 3 on the Richter scale was recorded northwest of Baiji city in Salah al-Din Governorate. The Iraqi Meteorological Organization announced the occurrence today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the organization stated in a press release that their seismic monitoring stations detected the tremor approximately 36 km northwest of Baiji city this evening. Residents near the epicenter reported feeling the quake.

The organization confirmed there were no reports of material or human damage following the tremor.
