Al-muthanna: The Ministry of Education has declared the upcoming launch of 29 new schools in the Al-Muthanna Governorate, set to be operational in the next few months. This move is in anticipation of the 2026-2027 academic year, with construction projects having reached advanced stages.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry emphasized its commitment to enhancing the education sector’s infrastructure. It is focusing on expanding the construction of school facilities to create an accommodating learning environment for the growing student population.

The newly built schools are part of initiatives funded by the Reconstruction Fund for the Poorest Governorates. This effort is in collaboration with the Muthanna Governorate Council, following a strategic plan to gradually eliminate double shifts in schools, reduce classroom overcrowding, and provide a more stable and improved quality of education.
