Efforts Intensified to Enhance Services for Pilgrims Visiting Imam Hussein Shrine

Baghdad: The head of the Supreme Service Committee for Million-Person Visits underscores the importance of intensified efforts to provide optimal services to visitors of Imam Hussein (PBUH). According to National Iraqi News Agency, Ali Razouqi al-Lami, Deputy Director of the Prime Minister's Office and Head of the Higher Service Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, emphasized the need to intensify efforts and utilize all available resources to serve pilgrims visiting the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

In a statement from the media office of Ali Razouqi al-Lami, it was noted that the Prime Minister has ordered and directed the committee to ensure the best services for the Arba'een pilgrimage. Al-Lami, along with Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, Head of the Higher Security Committee for Million-Person Pilgrimages, visited Diyala Governorate to assess the situation.

A meeting at the Diyala Operations Command was convened with relevant parties to discuss service and security plans. The meeting emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among all departments to provide the best services to the pilgrims and secure necessary supplies for service processions, contributing to the success of the pilgrimage plan.

The delegation also visited the Al-Mundhiriya border crossing to observe ongoing work and preparations. An expanded meeting with representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran was held, during which several key agreements were reached to facilitate the entry of Iranian and foreign pilgrims and service processions into Iraq.

The Iranian side expressed gratitude and appreciation for the attention provided by the Iraqi government, led by Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi, to ensure the success of the pilgrimage. They commended the efforts of the Iraqi government and people in serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
