Nairobi: Egypt ascended to the throne of women’s volleyball in Africa, clinching the continental title with a 3-0 victory over host nation Kenya in the final of the African Nations Cup in Nairobi. This is the fourth title in the history of the Egyptian national team and comes after a 23-year wait since their last triumph in 2003.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the achievement also secured their qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, making this a historic day for Egypt, combining continental glory with Olympic qualification.
