Riyadh: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati met with Mohamed Mustafa, Prime Minister and Palestinian Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh. The official Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Tamim Khilaf, stated that Abdel Aati reviewed the ongoing Egyptian efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the full and unconditional access of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdel Aati expressed his full condemnation of the continued Israeli aggression and all Israeli measures aimed at banning the work of UNRWA, stressing the importance of moving in international organizations to provide the necessary support to the agency and protect it.
The statement emphasized Egypt’s position rejecting any Israeli attempts to displace Palestinians in order to liquidate the Palestinian cause, stressing that Egypt will continue to support the brotherly Palestini
an people until the establishment of a Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Al-Quds as its capital. He also stressed Egypt’s full support for empowering the Palestinian Authority.
Abdel Aati reviewed the efforts undertaken by the Egyptian state to support the Palestinian cause based on its historical responsibility and national role in supporting the Palestinian people to achieve their right to independence, in addition to the humanitarian role it assumed in providing relief to the residents of the Gaza Strip, noting that Egypt provided more than 70% of the aid that entered the Strip.
He pointed out that Egypt received and provided health care for thousands of wounded Palestinians, in addition to vaccinating thousands of children, and providing the necessary support for Palestinian students to enroll in education, whether through the Ministry of Education or through Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

on for the efforts made by Egypt in various fields to support Palestinian rights, praising the role of the President of the Republic and his efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and restoring their rights, most notably the right to self-determination.
