Egyptian National Team Agrees to Delay Mohamed Salah’s Arrival for Training Camp

Istanbul: The Egyptian national team has agreed to a request from Turkish football club Trabzonspor to delay the arrival of Mohamed Salah to the national team’s training camp. Salah, who recently joined Trabzonspor after nine successful seasons with Liverpool, is committed to playing against Galatasaray in the Turkish league on September 19th.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Egyptian national team’s coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, has postponed Salah’s arrival for the September training camp. The camp is set to begin on September 17th as they prepare for matches against Angola and South Sudan in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and a friendly against South Africa.

The decision allows Salah to join the Pharaohs’ camp on September 21st, ahead of the match against Angola on September 25th. Hossam Hassan approved this delay to accommodate Trabzonspor’s schedule, recognizing the significance of Salah’s participation in the match against Galatasaray, a key fixture in the Turkish Super League.

Mohamed Salah has already made an impact at Trabzonspor, scoring four goals in the Turkish Super League this season, underscoring his importance to both his club and national team.
