Baghdad: Head of the media team of the Electoral Commission Imad Jamil revealed the number of those excluded from the upcoming elections and the date for the Board of Commissioners’ approval of other decisions regarding others.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jamil stated, “The latest statistics on excluded candidates reached 581 as of last Thursday, and they are subject to increase tomorrow, Sunday, or next Monday, after the Board of Commissioners approves other decisions.”

Jamil further explained that the electronic voting devices, numbering more than 70,000, were sent to South Korea, the country of origin, for software update and maintenance. They have now fully returned to Iraq in preparation for the parliamentary elections.
