Babil: An embezzler wanted by the Permanent Military Court/2 has been arrested by the Martyr Major Mohammed Maan checkpoint, under the jurisdiction of the Checkpoints Affairs Department of the Babil Police Command. The suspect, a resident of Baghdad, was apprehended after being identified on a wanted list for embezzlement under Article (62) of the Military Penal Code.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babil Police Media Director Brigadier General Adel Al-Husseini revealed that the suspect had been in hiding in the Babil Governorate for a year. He further stated that the suspect had been moving around within the area during this time.

Brigadier General Al-Husseini also mentioned that the legal procedures necessary for the case are currently being undertaken. The suspect is set to be referred to the competent authorities for further action.
