Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held discussions with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas regarding the ongoing Israeli attacks against Palestinians, as well as regional and international issues.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate released a statement on Saturday reporting that the dialogue between Erdogan and Abbas centered on the ongoing Israeli military actions in Palestine. The conversation also covered regional and international matters of shared concern.
The statement highlighted Erdogan’s remarks on the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, attributed to renewed Israeli assaults. He emphasized the need for Palestinian unity and solidarity to navigate these challenging times. Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s commitment to advocating for Palestine on international platforms.
Erdogan also conveyed his aspirations for the Palestinian people to soon experience peace and stability.
