Erdogan and Al-Sudani to Discuss Key Bilateral and Regional Issues in Ankara


Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to meet with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, who arrives in Turkey today for an official visit. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Presidential Complex in Ankara, where both leaders will engage in discussions concerning Turkish-Iraqi relations and regional and international developments.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Turkish Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun announced on the X platform that Al-Sudani will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visit will include a high-level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting between the two nations. During this visit, both countries are expected to sign documents aimed at enhancing cooperation across multiple fields.



Altun expressed that Al-Sudani’s visit is anticipated to further strengthen the established Turkish-Iraqi relations. The discussions are expected to cover a range of issues, reflecting the ongoing commitment to cooperation between Turkey and Iraq.
