Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump discussed the latest developments in Gaza in a phone call today.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Turkish Presidency's Communications Directorate stated in a press release that Erdogan informed Trump during the phone call that Turkey welcomes peace initiatives and that Israel must halt its attack on Gaza for peace efforts to succeed.

The Communications Directorate indicated that the Turkish President and the US President also discussed bilateral relations.
