Erdogan Calls on International Community to Support Gaza Ceasefire

Ashgabat: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged the international community to provide robust support to consolidate the fragile ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, amid ongoing Israeli violations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan, speaking at the International Forum on Peace and Confidence in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, emphasized the importance of Palestinian involvement in every phase of the peace process. He highlighted that the ultimate objective remains a two-state solution.

Erdogan stated, "The ceasefire in Gaza, despite Israeli violations, is fragile and requires strong support from the international community." He further remarked, "We in Turkey, with a sense of responsibility dictated by our history, geography, and civilization, are working with all our might to consolidate peace and dialogue."

Addressing the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Erdogan reiterated Turkey's readiness to provide tangible support for diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire and peace, particularly the Istanbul negotiations process.
