Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned the actions of Israel in Gaza, stating that “no one can remain silent about the scenes of brutality” occurring in the region, where innocent children face starvation and civilians seeking food aid are deliberately targeted.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a press conference in Ankara with Gabonese President Brice Clotaire Oligui Ngoma, Erdogan expressed growing impatience with what he perceives as injustice against Palestinians in Gaza. He emphasized Turkey’s commitment to delivering aid and stopping the ongoing injustice.

Erdogan commended European nations, particularly France and Britain, for their humanitarian responses, and praised French President Emmanuel Macron for recognizing the State of Palestine. He highlighted the significant support from African countries against Israel’s actions in Gaza and stressed the importance of backing the two-state solution based on the 1967 borders.

The Turkish President indicated that Turkey plans to increase pressure on Israel to prevent further humanitarian crises in Gaza. He assured that efforts will be made to strengthen solidarity with Gaza, achieve a ceasefire, and establish lasting peace. Erdogan reiterated that Turkey’s focus is on humanitarian aid rather than political agendas, aiming to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza.
