Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed bilateral relations and regional issues in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian. A statement issued by the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications indicated that Erdogan expressed his close monitoring of unfolding events in Iran.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan emphasized that Turkey places great importance on Iran’s security and stability. He reiterated that Turkey does not support scenarios of foreign intervention in Iran. During the conversation, Erdogan highlighted that resolving problems and preventing the escalation of tensions in the region aligns with Turkey’s interests.
