Ankara: The ruling Justice and Development Party in Turkey has once again placed its confidence in President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, re-electing him as the party’s President for the ninth consecutive term. Erdogan has pledged to continue his service to the Turkish people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdullah Guler, the Head of the office of the eighth general conference of the Justice and Development Party, announced that 1,547 delegates participated in the vote out of a total of 1,607. President Erdogan secured the votes of all participating delegates, showcasing unanimous support within the party.

In addition to re-electing Erdogan, the delegates also selected new members for the party’s central management and decision-making committee. Erdogan expressed his gratitude to the AKP delegates in a post on the X platform for their continued trust. He noted that the party’s structures were revitalized during the general conference and wished success to those taking on new roles. Erdogan reaffirmed his commitment to tirelessly serve the Turkish populace.

During the conference, Erdogan highlighted the achievements of successive AKP governments since 2002, stating that Turkey has been elevated to a trillion-dollar economy. He emphasized advancements in various sectors, particularly the defense industries, automotive industry, agriculture, and tourism. Erdogan pointed out that Turkey has become a global leader in drone production and ranks eleventh in defense industry exports.
