Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to discuss the resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul during a cabinet meeting in Ankara.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a Turkish official source revealed that the Ukrainian crisis and Turkey’s initiatives to facilitate dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv will be key topics at the meeting chaired by President Erdogan. The source emphasized that resolving the conflict in Ukraine remains a top priority for Turkey, and current strategies to reactivate the Istanbul negotiations will be evaluated during the discussions.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has previously indicated that Ankara is ready to host a fourth round of negotiations between the two nations in Istanbul. Istanbul has already been the venue for three rounds of direct talks, which led to an agreement on a prisoner exchange and draft memoranda of understanding aimed at conflict resolution.
