Baghdad: Head of the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the United States tomorrow, Sunday, for a four-day trip to attend the opening of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a post on the Turkish platform “N-Social” this Saturday evening, Altun explained that Erdogan would participate in the UN General Assembly proceedings taking place in New York. He stated: “President Erdogan will deliver his address on the first day of the general debate of the 81st General Assembly next Tuesday, under the theme: ‘Rebuilding Trust and Managing Transformation: A United Nations Delivering Results for All’.”

Altun noted that, during the visit, the Turkish President would hold bilateral meetings with UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, as well as with numerous heads of state and government participating in the session. President Erdogan is also expected to attend several events bringing together representatives of Turkish citizens residing in the US, representatives of the Turkish-American business community, and figures from the fields of thought and academia, according to Altun.
