Brussels: The European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have jointly called for dialogue and diplomacy to address and contain the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this call to action was formalized in a joint statement issued after a video conference between EU foreign ministers and GCC representatives. The statement emphasized the EU’s commitment to regional stability and underscored the necessity of protecting civilians and adhering fully to international law.

The statement further highlighted that both parties agreed to initiate joint diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a lasting resolution to the crisis. They also pledged to continue their efforts to facilitate the safe departure of citizens from the affected region, working closely with the GCC countries to ensure their safety.
