Brussels: The European Union commented on Israel's resumption of its war on the Gaza Strip, early Tuesday morning, which has so far resulted in the deaths of more than 400 Palestinian martyrs. Hajja Lahbib, Head of the European Union's crisis management, described the renewed war in Gaza as terrifying, and that civilians in the Strip are experiencing unimaginable suffering.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lahbib called for an end to the war, stating that international humanitarian law must be respected, stressing the need to resume the flow of humanitarian aid to the Strip. She emphasized the importance of restoring the ceasefire immediately to prevent further loss of life.
Hamas accused Israel of violating the agreement, while still holding 59 of the 250 prisoners it has been holding since the October 7, 2023 attack.
