Euphrates General Company for Chemical Industries Maintains Operations to Support Government and Local Market


Baghdad: The Euphrates General Company for Chemical Industries, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, has announced the continued operation of its soda and chlorine plant. The company aims to support government institutions and meet the demands of local markets through the efforts of its skilled staff.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the company’s Director General, Ali Qasim Kadhim, stated that the plant is actively supplying the North Gas Company with liquid chlorine and the South Refineries Company with caustic soda and concentrated sulfuric acid. Additionally, the company provides the private sector with essential chemical products such as caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, and concentrated sulfuric acid.

Kadhim highlighted the importance of the company’s products to the oil industry, refining processes, and energy production. These chemicals are vital in various industrial processing applications. He noted the company’s commitment to fulfilling local market needs, which contrib
utes to reducing reliance on imports and bolstering the national economy.
