Ofi crete: OFI Crete of Greece pulled off the first upset of the Europa League, defeating their German visitors Hoffenheim 2-0 in the first round of the group stage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the home side took the lead through Spaniard Aitor Cantalapiedra in the 30th minute, before Giorgos Kanellopoulos secured OFI Crete’s victory with a second goal in the 84th minute.

In the same round, Austrian side Salzburg returned from their away match against Levski Sofia with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal from Haris Tipkovic in the 39th minute.
