Tehran: A series of explosions were heard in Iran's capital as US-Israel attacks continued, Anadolu Ajansi reported, citing Iranian media on Sunday. The Fars News Agency reported that explosions were heard in various parts of Tehran.
According to Nam News Network, several cities, including Isfahan, Tabriz, and Qom, were also targeted in attacks overnight. Iran-based Nournews detailed these developments, highlighting the ongoing tension in the region.
Regional escalations have persisted since Israel and the US launched an offensive against Iran on February 28, resulting in the deaths of more than 1,300 people, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has conducted drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. These retaliatory actions have caused casualties and inflicted damage on infrastructure, while also disrupting global markets and aviation.
