Tehran: Iranian television reported early Sunday morning that a series of explosions rocked several cities in southern Iran. The report indicated that the explosions heard in Chabahar were caused by a US attack targeting the Konarak area in Sistan and Baluchestan province in the southeast of the country.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Iranian television added that explosions were also heard in the southern cities of Bushehr, Dayyer, Kangan, and Asaluyeh. The report noted that two explosions were heard in Sirik as a result of projectiles falling on the hills along the coastal strip between Sirik and the village of Taheravi.
The report further stated that more than 10 explosions were heard in Jask, Hormozgan province, while five explosions were recorded in Bandar Dayyer, four in Asaluyeh, and three in Bushehr in the past hour.
